Our team of dedicated & experienced staff work together with our residents to ensure that our home provides a quality of life that’s as close as possible to the warm, secure environment they are accustomed to in their own home. 

We offer 24-hour nurse care and GP cover, as well as a full range of medical services to make sure our residents’ health needs are met including medication delivery, physiotherapy, and chiropody.

We have a fully-equipped kitchen on site, and our qualified chef is dedicated to sourcing the highest-quality local produce for our daily rotation of hearty, classic meals. Our chef specialises in homemade breads and cakes, so our residents don’t miss out on any of their favourite things!

 At An Teaghlach Uilinn, we are very proud of the vibrant and engaged community we’ve helped foster. We believe social engagement is vital to living a full & healthy life. 

We employ two full-time Solas-trained staff, who carry out daily enrichment activities and organise day trips for our residents. Some of our daily activities include pet therapy, music therapy, flower arranging, garden, baking, arts & crafts groups, live music entertainment, spiritual afternoons, guest speakers & story-telling and much more.

That’s our simple philosophy at An Teaghlach Uilinn. Our goal is always to provide a home that best serves our residents, from meeting their daily needs to providing holistic lifestyle support. Through our dedicated advocacy group, we welcome direct input from our residents, their families & our own staff so we can continue respecting the needs of everyone within our care home, and innovating to meet those needs.

We currently employ 55 staff, predominantly from the local area. All nurses are registered with an Board Altranais and all care staff have FETAC level 5 qualifications in Care of the Elderly. Training is provided on an ongoing basis both in-house and externally to ensure all staff have the knowledge & skills required to enhance the provision of care to all our residents.
