At Talbot Lodge, we provide exceptional holistic care to our residents in a tranquil countryside setting. The focus of our care is not just on the medical needs of our residents but on their social, spiritual and recreational needs as well. Our services & facilities
At Talbot Lodge, we strive to achieve a sense of home for our residents through the provision of excellent care in a happy environment where residents feel respected and supported. We have 92 bedrooms, a large kitchen, 4 dining rooms and 6 sitting rooms as well as a library, oratory, gardens, a fully equipped hairdressing salon and recreational rooms that all residents have access to.
We offer 24-hour nurse care and GP cover, as well as a full range of medical services to make sure our residents’ health needs are met including physiotherapy, a dietician, speech and language therapy, and more.
Daily community-based activities
At Talbot Lodge, our residents enjoy a wide range of activities and events that cater to everyone’s interests. Residents are free to enjoy these services as suits the lifestyle of their choice.
We offer live music every week, movie nights, social trips & community engagement, games, arts and crafts (which you will find framed & on display throughout our living spaces) and more, as well as the opportunity for private family parties, a summer barbecue and a Christmas Party which are always great fun!

Eveline & her wonderful staff made a very difficult time in our lives so much easier and indeed when Mam passed away through Covid restrictions, they treated us with amazing care and sympathy. As our Dad was inclined to say “We will be forever grateful”.
A nursing home was never in our plan. But the decision was taken out of our hands after a devastating fall. Talbot Lodge was recommended by friends and from the first day we viewed it, until three years later when Mam died RIP, we had a growing appreciation for the constant love, attention, and care that Mam received, day and night. We are still in awe today at the chats, the kindness and humour and fun Mam enjoyed with her Carers, along with all her physical and mental needs met with speed and accuracy by the medical team.
